Submit a Presentation Idea

If you would like to submit a lightning talk, tutorial, or other presentation about a computer-related topic, please fill out this form.

IMPORTANT: we do lightning talks and other presentations between 10:15 AM and 11 AM on Wednesday mornings, so please check our our meetup calendar [opens in new window] for a list of Wednesday events.

These will be short presentations, usually between 5-10 minutes (sometimes longer for certain tutorials). You don't need to be an expert to present. You can demo the latest interesting thing that you've learned, or a project that you've built. You can also use the opportunity to pitch a group project idea [opens in a new window] to everyone.

For now we won't record the presentations, but if people are interested, we could broadcast the presentations on YouTube so that remote members could also benefit from the presentations. (optional)

How long do you need to present this topic? 5-10 minutes is a good guideline, but if you have a spectacular presentation that would interest most members, then we could talk about a longer presentation. Email [email protected] if you have questions.

Please write a short bio below. It might be listed on the event page. If you are still new to programming, don't worry -- it's a friendly, supportive audience, and you don't have to be an expert to present!
